High altitude gliders need lightweight meals

Himalayan Sky Safaris (himalayanskysafaris.com) organise paragliding tours through the Indian Himalaya every autumn. Their pilots are some of the best in their field, and include India’s most experienced competition pilot, Debu Choudhury as well as John Silvestre, who held the British paragliding distance record until 2011. Flying through this mountainous region on a paraglider often means going where the wind takes you, carrying just two small packs to last the whole adventure. They need gear that weighs next-to-nothing, and food that can be cooked no matter where they land. FIREPOT was used in a test-run in autumn 2016. Himalayan Sky Safaris have now signed up to using our food on every future adventure.
